LANDMARK TRUST: Beamsley Hospital in North Yorkshire - December 2011 (Built circa 1593)
Living in a building that was originally built for sick nuns to recuperate in (during the 14th Century) isn't the sort of thing one does everyday, but I recommend it! We lived like kings and queens and ate heartily and drank wine by the gallon. Open fires, spooky surroundings and very nice people made for a truly memorable experience. We had our own fully equipped chapel complete with pews and a pulpit that we preached our own special verse from!
